Sales enablement and onboarding training teaches sales leaders and enablement professionals to build a sales onboarding system that gets new hires selling productively in weeks, not months. Working through a live case study organisation whose new sales hires take over six months to reach full productivity with no structured onboarding to blame, participants diagnose the gaps and build a complete enablement system. Participants move from mapping what a new sales hire actually needs to know and when to presenting a complete onboarding and enablement system, working the same organisation from a Day 1 mapping exercise through to a Day 5 system presentation. The system design work covers product knowledge, sales process, tools and early deal support together, since a real ramp-up plan has to sequence all of these rather than front-load them into an overwhelming first week. It sits alongside Sales Leadership and Team Performance and Sales Pipeline and CRM Management in Strategic Revenue Africa's Strategic Sales and Account Management series.
A new sales hire left to absorb product training, shadow a few calls, and figure out the rest through trial and error typically takes far longer to reach full productivity than the same hire would with a genuinely structured ramp-up plan, and the gap between those two outcomes is measured directly in lost revenue during the months the new hire is still finding their feet. Sales enablement exists precisely to close that gap, but only when it is built as a deliberate system rather than an informal, ad hoc induction.
This course builds the practical enablement and onboarding skills sales leaders need to get new hires productive faster. Working through a live case study organisation whose new hires take over six months to ramp with no structured onboarding process, participants leave having diagnosed the gaps and built a complete enablement system themselves.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
This programme is ideal for:
Case-led delivery built around a single organisation case study whose new sales hires take over six months to reach full productivity with no structured onboarding, developing across all five days from an initial mapping exercise to a complete enablement system. Day 1 opens by mapping what a new hire genuinely needs to know and when; the case then carries through designing a ninety-day onboarding sequence, building sales playbooks and content, and a closing exercise designing milestones and ongoing enablement and presenting a complete system. The sequencing work is tested against realistic limits on what a new hire can absorb in the first weeks. Cohorts typically bring together sales leadership, enablement and HR perspectives, testing the system from several angles.
Organisations implementing the programme outcomes can expect to:
By the end of this programme, participants will be equipped to:

Practical session: Design a structured ninety-day onboarding programme for the case study organisation.
Practical session: Develop a sales playbook and onboarding toolkit for a selected business unit within the case study organisation.
Practical session: Design a coaching, shadowing and milestone framework for the case study organisation's new sales hires.
Practical session: Present a complete sales onboarding and enablement strategy for the case study organisation, including onboarding, coaching, enablement content and performance measurement.
