Commercial Layer & Broiler Farming Management Training Course

This five-day course takes participants from semi-commercial poultry production into full commercial-scale layer and broiler farming. It covers housing and environmental control, advanced nutrition and feeding programmes, egg production and broiler growth management, and the biosecurity and health protocols required to run a commercial-scale operation reliably.

Many poultry enterprises across Africa get stuck at semi-commercial scale, not because demand or capital is missing, but because the technical systems, housing design, feeding programmes, health protocols, that work for a few dozen birds start failing once flocks reach commercial scale, and the people managing them were never trained for that specific jump.

This course is built for that transition. It goes deep into the two production systems that dominate commercial poultry, egg-laying flocks and meat birds, and the housing, nutrition and flock management practices each requires at scale, so participants can run or advise a genuinely commercial operation, not just a larger backyard one.
